When I became a Christian, I was glad that I was saved, but deep inside I had a question: “Lord, why did you save me and is there a purpose for my Christian life?”
The Lord answered my prayer. He brought me to the local church and it is there I ended my search. In the local church, I read a lot of books from Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Through these books, I found out from the Bible that the Lord saved me for a purpose. He saved me to build up the Body of Christ, to become a part of His Bride to bring the Lord back.
I Cor. 12:27a says: “Now you are the body of Christ...” In the local churches, I experience living as a member within the Body of Christ. The books from Watchman Nee and Witness Lee helped me tremendously. I received life and light from them. I love to read the Life-Studies of the Bible by Witness Lee. The Life-Studies unlock the Bible to me.
These books help me to go on in a practical way. I now experience Christ in an inward way and live a Christian life with purpose.
